Cross Country:

The boys cross country team placed fifth out of fifteen teams this past week in the Joe Davis invitational, while the girls team placed fourth out of seventeen. Allison Mann placed first again for the lancers, winning by more then 42 seconds. The cross country teams will be back in action Thursday when they participate in the Manitou Springs invite at Bear Creek Park.


The football team looks to improve to 2-1 this season when they matchup against Palmer Ridge on Friday at 7:00 P.M. for our homecoming game. Liberty is coming off a come from behind 27-20 win against Widefield to get their first win of the year.  Palmer Ridge meanwhile has only played one game , but won it 28-12 against Sand Creek last weekend. Last year Palmer Ridge beat Liberty 49-14,  and leads the overall series between the two teams 2-0.,co)/football/home.htm,co)/football/home.htm

Field Hockey:

The lady lancers got their first win of the season last Saturday shutting out Fossil Ridge 4-0. They will look to build on the succes and get back to .500 as they take on Grandview  who is 1-0-1, coming off a tie against Saint Mary’s last game. The game is on Wednesday away at Grandview at 4:00 P.M.  Christina Jensen looks to continue to lead the Colorado Field Hockey League in saves, she currently is at 15 for Liberty.,co)/field-hockey/schedule.htm

Men’s Soccer:

The men’s soccer team will be looking for their first win on the season Tuesday when they take on Lakewood in the first game if their soccer tournament. Liberty is trying to turn things around after they lost to palmer ridge 4-1.  Lakewood will look to continue to go undefeated as they improved to 2-0 last week with a 2-1 win against D’Evelyn.  Liberty’s next two opponents will be determined as the first round games of the tournaments are completed. Softball will be facing Grand Junction Central and Pueblo Central in a double header apart of the Dave Sanders memorial tournament  on Friday. After winning their first game of the season, Liberty has dropped their last two games, meanwhile Grand Junction Central hasn’t lost since their first game and carries in a 4-1-1 record into the first game of liberty’s double header that will played at 9:00 A.M. The volleyball team looks to move to 3-1 with a an away win against Canon City on Tuesday at 6:00 P.M..  Coming off a win against Vista Ridge in five sets Liberty will be playing Canon City who has yet to lose, with wins against Falcon and Canon City.  This will be the first time either team has played against each other ever. Kennedy Garnhart looks to improve on her league leading 116 assists, which is 25 more then second.
