Football:

The football team looks to close out non- conference play this Saturday, with a home game at 6 against Air Academy. Liberty is coming off a 20-18 loss against Stanley lake where the Lancers come back came up short. The Cadets also lost last week 40-28 against Niwot moving their record to 1-2.  Trever Halverson looks to lead the Lancer’s offense and continue his success through the air as he ranks second in passing yards with 365. Gerald Rushing and Chris Weber also look to lead the defense as they rank first and second respectively in sacks, with 3 and 2.5.

Field Hockey:

Coming off a 3-0 loss to Cherry Creek, the Lancers look to rebound in their two games this week. The Lady Lancers travel up to Denver today to play the Buffaloes of Smokey Hill. The Buffaloes fell to Colorado Academy in their previous game 5-0, moving their record to 2-4. The second of the two gams this week for the lancers will be played Wednesday at 5, at ASD20 Stadium against the League Leading Mustangs of Colorado Academy. The Mustangs who as stated above won 3-0 against Smokey Hill, and come into the game on Wednesday with a record of 5-0-1.

Men’s Soccer:

The men’s soccer team lost two home games last week, but look to rebound on the road in their lone game this week. The Lancers travel up to Lakewood on  Monday to take on the 5-2 Bears of Bear Creek. The Bears are coming off of a 2-1 win against Lakewood in their last game. Although it has been a tough season for the 1-7 Lancers, it could be even worse now that Dawson Calloway, the team leader in points and goals, has acquired an injury in the Lancer’s most recent game and his status for Monday’s game is still to be decided.

Softball:

Liberty is coming off a 12-3 league win against Palmer, moving their overall record to 5-6 and their league record to 3-1. This week the lady lancers have two road games against rivals Rampart and Pine Creek. On Tuesday at 4 the Lancers go on the road to take on the Eagles of Pine Creek who lost 8-2 against Castle view. The Eagles are undefeated in league play this year but this is the first time these two teams are facing this year. The lancers go on the road again Thursday to play Rams at Rampart. The Rams are coming off of a 6-4 loss to Vista Ridge, moving their record to 6-6 on the year. Allie Helton looks to continue the tear she’s been on , as she ranks in the top 5 in batting average(.538), slugging percentage(.820), runs(18), and on base percentage(.609).

Volleyball:

The volleyball team looks to improve their record to 7-4 this week with two games to close out their non-conference schedule. On Tuesday at 4, the lancers host Palmer Ridge, who is coming off of a 3-0 win against Thornton to move their record to 8-2. On Thursday the lady Lancers go on the road to play the 5-5 Cadets of Air Academy. The Cadets lost 3-1 to Coronado in their previous game. Kennedy Garnhart who ranks third in assists(238), and in serving aces(17), looks to lead the Lady Lancers this week.
