The football team dropped their second league game this past weekend against Pueblo South, as the final score ended up being 41-13. The lancers look to tally their first league win this weekend as they host Sand Creek. This will be a matchup between the only two teams without a league win. Sand Creek lost their previous game 45-0 against the league leader Ponderosa. This will be a great opportunity for the Lancers to get their first league win of the year. Also it will be a homecoming game for Liberty’s former defensive coordinator, David Ramirez, who is now Sand Creeks head coach

Men’s Soccer:

Liberty’s lone game of the week will be on Tuesday as the Lancers host Palmer at 7:00 P.M. This game is important for the Lancers if they want to keep their dreams of a .500 league record a live this season as they sit at a record of 1-3 currently. Palmer meanwhile will look to keep their league title hopes a live as they sit 2-2 currently in the league, two games behind league leading Pine Creek. Fans shouldn’t espect a offensive game,  as both teams have scored the least amount of goals in the league

The Lancers season came to an end this weekend as they were knocked out of the playoffs in the regional round by ThundeRridge with a final score being 17-5. Although Liberty could not make out of the regional round, it was still a great year for the Lancers. Liberty ended up dominating their way to the 5A Metro League title with a league record of 11-1 and an overall record of 13-8. This season saw the lancers sweep rivals Rampart and Pine Creek, along with Allie Helton of the Lancers leading the league in BA, Slugging Percentage, Runs, Stolen Bases and OBP, and also ending up third in the League in home runs. Not only was Allie was Liberty’s leader and MVP, but she was also the leagues MVP. Congrats Allie!

After coming off a 3-0 game sweep over Palmer to move their league record to 2-1, the lancer will be going on the road to take on Rampart. The league leading Rams currently have a League Record of 3-0. With a Liberty win against Rampart, and if Pine Creek wins as well, there could be a three way tie a top of the league standings between Rampart, Liberty and Pine Creek. Out of the three teams, Liberty has the best chance to take home the league crown. The Lancers take on Pine Creek at home and last Place Fountain Fort Carson to close out their schedule witch is the easiest one of the three teams.
