The football team finally got their first league win, as they beat Sand Creek  38-17 and improving their overall record to 3-5 and 1-2 in league play. The Lancers will be going on the road to take on Grand Junction Central who is 4-4 overall and also is 1-2 in the league. Grand Junctions is coming off of a  62-13 loss against league leading ponderosa. Liberty will look to establish the run game, that is led by Seniors Cole Pelt and Emerson Collins, that was very effective in their previous game. This game will provide a chance for one team to get back into the playoff picture or eliminate them completely, so it should be a good one.

Men’s Soccer:

Liberty had a dismal season this year as they finished 3-12 overall and a 2-4 record, missing the playoffs by a longshot. The lone bright spot on the Lancers this year would be Dawson Calloway who ranked in the top 5 in the league in points and assists. Better luck next year lancers!

The Lady Lancers look to wrap up their season this week and make one last push for the playoffs. They currently sit with an overall record of 9-9 and a league record of 3-2. The Lancers have three games, all at home against rival Pine Creek, Denver South, and Fort Collins. Pine Creek is the Lancers last league game on the year and it will be a big one as Pine Creek leads the league and will be a big win to add to the playoff resume. Denver South and Fort Collins have a combined record of 23-13, and a win against all three of these teams should move the Lancers off of the bubble and into the playoffs. So, go support the Lady Lancers and help them clinch a playoff spot.
