JV Ice Hockey: Liberty v. Pine Creek

On February 13th, the Liberty Lancers JV ice hockey team faced off against the Pine Creek Eagles, as an away game: their third JV game of the year. Going into this game, their record was 0-1-1.

Two of the three goalies played in this game, those being Alysen Meyers (junior #35) and Evan Hoehne (sophomore #30). The first period started off with Alysen in net, stopping all but one goal, allowing Pine Creek to score the first goal. Towards the end of the period, Lancers player Hayden Shultze (freshman #7) scored his first goal of the year, tying the game.

The second period followed with Alysen in net and the score remaining a tie. In the final period, Evan started in goal and saved all the shots he faced. The end of the game resulted in a 1-1 tie, leaving their record at 0-1-2.

Ice Hockey’s next game is a Varsity game against Glenwood Springs in Eagle at 5:00 pm. This game will concluded their 2018-2019 season.
