As winter approaches, styles among the student community are changing. Every year, there’s a new fashion and new ideas on what to wear. Whether it comes from social media, friends, or even family, each year, there are new trends that change students’ wardrobes. At Liberty, students seem to stay trendy and updated on new fashions. Especially since the weather is getting colder, students are finding new ways to open their wardrobe while still trying to match the fad today.
Finding new outfits and trying to stick to the trends can be difficult, yet students are slowly wearing warmer clothes to stay warm at school. Day-to-day outfits can be an essential thing that students look forward to. Smart layering with versatile yet fashionable accessories is the go-to.

Junior Annika Archuleta said, “I’m starting to get into more sweats and leggings. I mean, occasionally, I wear jeans, but pretty much what I wear, I would say, all year keeps me pretty warm.”
Archuleta mentions wearing sweats a lot, which is a common trend that’s noticeable at Liberty High School. Sweats are a convenient and great thing students can wear while at school. Coming in different colors, styles, and sweats, they are able to be wearable with almost anything.
Archuleta’s go-to items are, “Fuzzy socks, hoodies, and a heavy jacket when it snows.”
For Archuleta, staying warm is important, and not just clothes can be an important thing. The little things that go with clothes can make a huge difference and really make the fashion stand out.
Whether it’s extra clothes or not, it can even be jewelry that makes students’ outfits really stand out. Students and fashion are starting to get more on the grid especially with high school students having social media to influence it.
Also, Archuleta says, “During the fall into winter, I see a lot more students wearing sweaters. Or dressing more comfortably… Some trends I’ve noticed are a lot of people wearing those puffer vests, and another, I’ve seen a lot of camo hoodies.”
Today at Liberty, camo hoodies and puffer vests seem to be what everyone is wearing. Camo seems to look more like a rugged yet stylish look. Camo also matches well with black colors. Camo is very versatile as well; it can be warm and also can be worn for athletic purposes.
Puffer jackets are also very versatile; they are mainly worn with leggings, jeans, or sweats. Puffer jackets are a great way to stay extra layered and warm, but also not too warm.
Liberty students for fashion tips according to Archuleta are to “Just be you. That’s literally all I can say. Like, just how you dress and be comfortable. Nobody else is wearing it but you.”
Being comfortable is a very important thing students need, especially while being in school. Although fashion and common fads are what students want to wear nowadays, it still doesn’t change who you are as a person. Be yourself and love you for that.
