The girls’ varsity soccer team is heading into the upcoming season with renewed confidence and high expectations. After reaching the playoffs for the past two years, the team is focused on staying dedicated to winning and becoming the best team they can be.
Several players are returning from injuries, bringing both experience and motivation back onto the field.
“We have a different slogan every year, and this year it’s ‘underdog mentality, champion mindset,’” said junior Kaela Gronberg. She also pointed to the team’s recent postseason experience, saying, “The team has made it to the playoffs the past two years, but we’ve never made it past the first round.”
With players motivated to improve, Gronberg expressed the team’s confidence moving into the season. “I know we will be strong and continue to become a team that people are nervous to play,” she said.
With leadership from Coach Hoffman and a determined team, the team hopes this season brings growth and a farther spot in the playoffs.
