With lunch being the busiest hour of the day, it can be a rare commodity to find peace and quiet during lunch. As rooms fill with students for lunch, it can be difficult to find a quiet area to get work done if needed. This can be a problem for some who have homework or an assignment if they can’t find a quiet place to study, which can disrupt them.
The issue of this missing peace could be a problem for many students if they can’t find a quiet place to study. Lunch can be a great period to get things done in a student’s free period. However, the recent influx of students in the library has gotten rid of one of the only peaceful places to study.
This issue is especially detrimental to students who do not have a study hall. A missing free period followed by a noisy environment makes studying nearly impossible.
Having a quiet area during lunch can also help students with reducing stress levels. Avoiding the crowds and being provided with a quiet and more calm environment to relax and take some stress off or study is essential, and can provide a sanctuary for students looking to improve their well-being and needing to take some time off.
We can gain quiet lunch spaces by having designated rooms and having a teacher sign up if teachers would be willing to have kids in their room dedicated to being a quiet zone.
Liberty could also introduce a dedicated wing of the school to be a calmer environment for students to escape to if they need to get away from the crowd.
Having a calm area would be very beneficial for the school and students. It would allow students to get any work or missing work they need to catch up on done in a better environment. And would take stress away from a lot of students who have missing work or just need to get away from the bustle of lunch, and is also a great way to connect with teachers and students, and meet everybody’s needs.
